The Discovery Wealth Management Learnership, offered through Discovery Central Services and Discovery Corporate & Employee Benefits, is designed to equip young South Africans with both theoretical and practical experience in the financial services industry. This opportunity leads to a nationally recognised NC: Wealth Management NQF Level 5 qualification and is rooted in Discovery’s mission to make people healthier and enhance their lives. Participants will gain exposure to various aspects of wealth management, including life benefits, retirement funds, funeral policies, client servicing, claims, pre-sale underwriting, and new business. The programme is ideal for self-driven individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about making a meaningful impact in society.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured learning and workplace experience aligned with the Wealth Management NQF Level 5 qualification
• Support client servicing, claims processing, and pre-sale underwriting activities
• Assist with new business development and administration of life benefits, retirement funds, and funeral policies
• Demonstrate professionalism, accuracy, and service excellence in all tasks
• Adapt to changing circumstances and contribute positively to team dynamics

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is essential
• Mathematics with a minimum Level 4 (50%)
• English with a minimum Level 4 (50%)
• Mathematical Literacy with a minimum Level 5 (60%)
• Second language with a minimum Level 4 (50%)
• May have an incomplete tertiary financial qualification (advantage)
• Must not be engaged in post-Matric studies or formal employment
• Must not have completed any previous learnership
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must possess basic computer skills, especially in MS Excel and MS Outlook
• Only South African candidates by birth will be considered
